Think flowing dresses, linen suits, and dressy sandals are perfect. Please avoid overly casual beachwear or heavy formal wear that might be uncomfortable in the Phuket climate.
Getting to Phuket
If there isn’t a direct flight from your city, you will be flying into Phuket International Airport (HKT), which is about 45 minutes from our wedding venue at Rosewood Phuket.
The easiest way is to fly into a larger hub first and then transfer:
Bangkok (Suvarnabhimi International Airport – BKK): Frequent domestic flights to Phuket (about 1 hr.)
Singapore (Changi International Airport – SIN): Also offers quick direct flights to Phuket (about 1 hr 45 min)
Both Bangkok and Singapore are great layover cities if you'd like to extend your trip!
Hotel Information
We recommend guests stay at the Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach, located just minutes from Rosewood Phuket. Additionally, we will have dedicated shuttle vans stationed at the Marriott to assist with transportation throughout the wedding week.
For guests who prefer to stay on-site at Rosewood Phuket, a group rate is available starting at $1,100/night. Please reach out to Piper or Hunter directly for booking details and to access the discounted rate.
Getting from the airport to the hotel
Taxi/Private Transfer: The most convenient way is to pre-book a taxi or car transfer directly to the hotel.
Car Rental: If you’re planning to explore Phuket on your own, renting a car at the airport is easy. Just keep in mind that driving is on the left side in Thailand and an international driver’s license is required.
Rideshare: Grab (similar to Uber) operates in Phuket, though availability can be limited during peak hours.
Good to know
Currency
Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are widely available and credit cards are accepted at hotels/restaurants.
Weather (Late November in Phuket)
This is the start of Phuket’s dry season: typically warm (77-88F/25-31C), lower humidity than monsoon months, and brief showers possible.
Please note if you’re planning to go to temple, please bring clothing that covers your shoulders and knees.
Power & Plugs
Thailand uses Type A,B, and C outlets (110-220V). Most US/EU chargers work; bring a universal adapter just in case.
Health & Safety
Drink bottled water, use sunscreen and insect repellent for evenings, and consider travel insurance. Local pharmacies are plentiful if you need basics.
Can I bring my kids?
We love your little ones, but we kindly request a child-free celebration so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We truly appreciate your understanding!
